Max & Great Grandma

Today I am sharing another scrapbook/photo frame image I have created. It's of my Max and his Great Grandma from when Max was just 2 years old! It was such a perfect photo opportunity of the two of them walking side by side in my Grandmas garden while Max is fascinated with his paper aeroplane!

5 years old!!

I can't believe it but my baby turned 5 yesterday! It seems 5 minutes ago he was a baby not 5 years ago...wow, how time flies! To celebrate I made a gorgeous scrap book page of him as a baby-4 days old to be exact!
I used the stunning dsp that I have been using for EVERYTHING  at the moment, beau chateau. Some lovely vintage brads and the big swirl is grunge board from Tim Holtz, everything else is Stampin' Up!

I used SU! pearls for detail near his initial "M" and on the swirl too. I lightly brushed my Marina Mist ink pad over the swirl to give it some vintage feel and colour to it. I punched out a large circle in soft suede and again in some vellum and stamped the "M" in marina mist onto the vellum. This was all mounted onto lucky limeade card stock.

I hope you like this and now I will share a photo of him from the weekend in the snow!!

This is the latest page I have made of gorgeous boy! This again was taken by my Dad and this time in my Grandparents garden. They have a huge garden with lots of trees so it's like a magnet for Max and he loves to explore it!!
The corner rounder was used once more and I lay the photo over some marina mist card stock that I simply tore the bottom of. I added a chip board arrow and roughly dragged it over my marina mist ink pad to give it an aged look. I added a little 'play' ticket from a great selection of Tim Holtz tickets and scrunched it up, attached it using my mini stapler and then a cute little flower with a sparkly gem! I love the look on Max's face-total wonder! x

Time for part 3!! I just love this photo. At the farm there were some HUGE pumpkins ready for Halloween and Max was fascinated by them and ended up kissing the biggest one he could find!!
I used my scallop boarder punch to run along side the cute hen strip of dsp. I added the cute little BOO! from tiny tags and punched it out with the jewellery tag punch. This was stamped on marina mist. I got some scrap crumb cake seam binding and dampened it slightly and scrunched it up then added it to my page using a mini silver brad.

Here's my next instalment of my scrap booking. This photo was from half term last October at a local farm near to my parents. Max and his Grandad went off exploring and my Dad, being the wonderful photographer that he is, took some lovely photos of Max. In fact, all these scrap book pages have photos that my dad has taken!
I used my corner rounder punch again for the photo and laid it over some dry embossed dsp and decorative label punched card stock. I cut a strip of the wire cage dsp and punched out the labels from some marina mist card stock, cut them in half and adhered to the dsp. I then ran this through the big shot using the square lattice folder. I stamped the tree branches from the timeless portrait stamp set in choc chip ink.
I then added another decorative label punch with my journalling to the side of the photo and added some more embellishments!
Hope you like this one too! x

I have been off the scene for a while focusing on family life and enjoying Christmas and New Year-which seems ages ago now! My little boy got chicken pox on New Years Eve which wasn't much fun for him and now he has tonsillitis!! Poor little mite. Anyway, I have been using the gorgeous Beau Château dsp along with the matching scrap book. I love the calm, chic colour scheme to this dsp and can't get enough of it right now!
I had the photo printed in sepia and used my corner rounder punch for the edges. I used 2 mini brads in 2 of the corners, pear pizazz seam binding ribbon and some other embellishments.
I will share some more pages during the week!! Have a happy weekend! x

Birthday Foliage

Today I'm sharing a gorgeous card using the french foliage set and using the rock and roll technique. I stamped onto white card using cherry cobbler, lucky limeade and pool party. To create the double tone style aka rock n roll-you stamp your image in one colour ie pool party then roll your stamp in a cirlce motion into another ink ie lucky limeade (see bottom leave on the left). It creates a stunning effect and I really must use it more often! I added the 'splats' stamp by stamping off the paper first in cherry cobbler so it wasn't too dark.

I then cut some lucky limeade crad stock to fit the card and tore off along the bottom. added some gorgeous crochet trim ribbon with a knot and added the greeting from curly cute in cherry cobbler!

Hope you like it x
